Hello my lovely friends!
Whew, it’s been forever since I last did a tag! I have to thank Lashaan and Trang @ Bookidote for tagging me, and giving me the opportunity to take part in the newest, trending tag: Pokemon GO. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE needs to go check out their blog right now! They post amazing content, and I’m always inspired by their design and love for books. Go go go check them out!
Rules
There are no specific rules for this tag, but I am linking back to Aentee @ Read at Midnight, the creator of this fun tag because I didn’t answer ALL the prompts. For a full list, make sure to go visit ๐
Alrighty then, with all the logistics out of the way, lets go ahead and get started!
Hmmm, I’ve always loved reading, and ever since I was able to read, you could find me about anywhere with a book in my hands. I guess the one book that reminded me of my love for reading this past year was when I reread Pride and Prejudice. I was reminded of how timeless books are and the beauty of literature.
I remember readingย The Adventures of Tom Sawyer back in the good old elementary school days and falling head over heels for Tom and Huckleberry Finn. I still miss their daily adventures, and wish I could have been a part of their friendship.
Sorry John Greene, I love your crash course videos, and you seem like a great person. I just don’t like overly hyped books! The Fault in Our Stars could possibly be the best book ever, I’ll just never read it..
Harry Potter… Since I hate reading books when they’re popular, I just put off the series, and now I’m just not sure if I’m ready for that type of commitment. (My apologies to avid fans…)
Since I’m constantly sleep deprived, I tend to nod off sooner than I want, but a book that I could not put down and therefore was forced to lay on my floor and read nonstop is Vicious by V.E Scwabb.
I can’t say with 100% certainty that this is still my OTP, but as a young child I was obsessed with the idea of a Prince falling in love with a girl who was not the prettiest in the kingdom. All fairytales seemed to revolve around a beauty that captivated the prince. In Fairest, Aza is considered one of the uglier citizens. After reading several reviews, I”m sure if I were to reread the book, I may have different opinions.
I loooooved the Maximum Ride series! My brother introduced me to this series, and I was hooked, finishing book after book. I think this is the series I went through the most quickly, reading one book a day.
I don’t particularly like it when a series or book is over hyped, but a series I’ve been dying to read is The Lunar Chronicles. If anyone ever wants to send me the whole thing, I’ll love you forever and ever.
Buy me this collection, and I’ll love you forever… Juniper Book’s Penguin Classics just all have simple, vintage covers that I’ve just been loving!
The Crown’s Game is one I’ve been seeing around, and been looking forward to reading. I love the synopsis for this book, and have read some great reviews about it as well. There’s a lot of similarities to the hunger games, although the fight is not about surviving but about ascending to the throne.
Never Never by James Patterson is going to be released in a week. Need I say more? I love Patterson, and am so excited to snag this book as it is released!

Have you been a part of this Pokemon GO craze? Or read any of these books? Let me know in the comments below ๐
I was scared of the sheer size and volume of Harry Potter, too, but I definitely encourage you to read it. I ended up reading it last year, and it’s by far my favorite series! xx

I will indeed! I can’t let such a wonderful series go under my radar. I already regret not starting this series a looong time ago, especially when I see reviews or any sort of posts about it.

I do too! All my friends read Harry Potter in elementary school, and I was definitely late to start it at 16, but hey, better late than never! Can’t wait to hear what you think of it if you decide to give it a try ๐

Thanks! I’ll have to get to it ASAP!

I totally get you with the Fault in Our Stars – it is so overhyped, and if at the time of its release I was living in America or I was a blogger, I would probably couldn’t stand the hype, and might not read it. But when I read it in just saw it in one place, heard that’s it’s gonna be a movie so I read it. Only later the hype came to my country and I was exposed to it.

Oh, it was crazy over here and I felt like it was the only thing I was hearing about. Maybe someday when I don’t have to hear about it, I’ll check it out ๐

Yes, there might be a time when this book will be just what you want to read. And really, I don’t think you miss that much.

Oh really? Hmmm, I really wonder what the hype was then. I find that sometimes, there isn’t much substance to support the hype that is going around. Which is always disappointing.

Very good! I consider this one an “expert level” tag because it’s so involved.
I. Love. That. Dragon.
Can I keep him? ๐๐๐

Thanks so much for the tag Grace, I’m not a fan of Pokemon Go but I’m looking forwards to taking part in this tag because it looks amazing.
I really enjoyed Vicious as well, it was definitely a book that I couldn’t put down either, same with the Maximum Ride books and the Lunar Chronicles. I read the Max Ride books when I was a little younger but they were my favourites when I was in high school so I’d be interested in re-reading them and seeing if my memory of them lives up to the reality now you know. The Lunar Chronicles is probably my all-time favourite series if I had to pick one. I hope you really enjoy the books!
Also those Penguin Classics are gorgeous, I’m not a massive fan of classics myself but I would buy that collection just because it’s so gorgeous! ๐

Of course Beth ๐ I can’t say that I’ve ever played Pokemon Go, or any pokemon games, but I loved the questions and the pictures so I decided to give it a go!
Same! Although I’m worried that I won’t like it as much, which is why I’m hesitant to read old favorites. I want to read The Lunar Chronicles very badly, in fact, I was going to pick it up from the library until I realized that I only have a day to read before I leave!
Haha, I’ve grown to love classics, although it takes a lot of motivation for me to start one. They are gorgeous ๐
Thanks for stopping by and for your comment Beth!

And bookish tags are always fun as well! I’m excited to get started on this one but I have a few other tags in my queue I need to work through first.
Oh yeah that’s always a worry with re-reading books isn’t it. Still I find a lot of time I either enjoy them just as much or sometimes even a little more. Hopefully you’ll be able to get around to The Lunar Chronicles soon-ish then, it’s an amazing series,
I’ll leave the classics reading to you then, and I’ll stick with fantasy! ๐
That’s all right, thanks again for the tag! ๐

Of course! I’ll be sticking around to see your post ๐ Don’t feel pressured to get it done ASAP!
Although there is always that risk, the best part of rereading is when you get to rediscover a gem that you had forgotten about. I do as well ๐
Haha, I’ll work on reading more fantasy as well, all genre’s of books are amazing!

Thanks, I’m working on getting through my tags a little quicker but its not going too well so it may take me a little while.
Exactly, that’s one of my favourite parts of rereading old books. Oh I love all genres but fantasy is my all-time favourite, there are so many other amazing books out there as well though! ๐

You haven’t read Harry Potter?! Whaaat?? Shame. Shame on you, my friend. ๐
I want to reread the whole series, so if you’re ever interested in a buddy read soon, let me know and we can read it together!

Right? I’m also ashamed at this fact as well… I’ll get to it someday! I promise >.<
Oh yes! Lets do that! I hope to do that over winter break when I have time, but I'll let you know for sure ๐

I’m not actually a huge fan of TFIOS- basically cos it was pimped everywhere and the hype just killed all the enjoyment. *Loved* Vicious though! Great post! Thanks so much for the tag- I’ve not actually been caught up in this craze- but this does look like fun! ๐

Exactly… I dislike hypes so much, and the fact that so many people seem to join with no idea why there is one!
I’ll be totally honest, I haven’t even tried playing this game, but I thought the tag and pictures were cute ๐ And no problem, I look forward to your post!

Yeah exactly!
haha fair enough- I think the pics are cute too!! Thanks!

Thank you for doing the tag!! I haven’t read the HP series because of size as well and popularity too! XD Then again, the odds of that series of ever becoming less talked about is slim to none. I’m sure I’ll jump into the books soon enough though. xD I see the collector’s edition you have on your wishlist is quite intense; and a popular one too! Great post!

Of course! Thank you for tagging me ๐ This was fun, and I loved the cute little illustrations. Whenever people talk about the HP series, I always feel left out… I just never feel like I have a sufficient chunk of time to read…
I’ve really wanted it for quite some time now. As soon as I become rich (haha that’s a joke) that’ll be one of the first things I buy.
Thanks Lashaan ๐
