Hello my lovely friends π
I’m back today with a nomination to another award! I was nominated by the sweet Megan @ bookslayer reads. Although the time I’ve known her is quite short, her blog is really a great place and worth of your visit, so make sure to check her blog out as well!
Rules
- Show the award on your blog
- Thank the person that has nominated you
- Share 7 different facts about yourself
Nominate 15 blogs of your choiceΒ(I will be nominating five blogs)- Link your nominees and let them know of your nomination
The rules here are short and sweet so lets go ahead and get started!
7 Facts About Me
- My favorite animal is the giraffe. I’m literally obsessed with their elegance, and find them to be so cute! They look so genial, yet regal. One day, I want to become a zookeeper just so I can be near them.
- I’m very meticulous and obsessive when it comes to watching a TV show. I have to watch every minute in the correct order… I also can’t handle cliffhangers so I always have to stop in the middle of an episode. This is why I can never watch anything with anyone. It’s also why I can only watch a TV show when all the episodes are out.
- I love food, but I’m not picky. I’ll eat anything and everything, and really can’t tell the difference in the quality of food unless someone points it out to me.
- Though I follow recipes, I never actually use the designated measurements. Maybe it’s cause I’m too lazy to actually measure things out. Or maybe it’s because I like to pretend I’m a professional chef.
- I love fashion/lifestyle vloggers. They’re what I watch before falling asleep or during my workouts.
- I love listening to people talk. Voices are my favorite things about people, and I can normally identify a person by their voices.
- IΒ can’t remember names to save my life, so if I remember your name, consider yourself honored.
Sorry for boring you with miscellaneous facts about myself, but I hope you enjoyed nonetheless!
I nominate:
Lashaan and Trang @ Bookidote
Beth @ Reading Every Night
Holly @ Nut Free Nerd
Sammie @ Books and Biros
Donna @ ChocolatenWaffles
These are some of my personal favorite book blogs. They are very worthy of this award, and everyone needs to go check them out π
What are some facts about you that others may not know?Β Let me know in the comments below π
I’m always excited to meet other people who love giraffes. They’re definitely my favorite animal too. I’ve never really known why, they just kind of are!

Exactly! My friends always groan and moan whenever we go to the zoo and I force us to observe them for hours on end. Baby giraffes are also the cutest things on the planet!

I’m the exact same way with tv shows! My mom and I have been watching TWD, and we are behind (@ the end of Season 5), and Netflix doesn’t have Season 6 up yet. I told her I couldn’t watch the Season Finale of 5 if we didn’t have 6 available. She got so mad, but that’s how I am. I like to be behind: then I can watch whenever I want and marathon a show if I choose!
Good answers!

Exactly! You and I are identical twins in that aspect. I’m just too impatient to wait and agonize over what’s going to happen! Thanks for your lovely comment π

So Neflix is outta question, then? XD I started watching Damages some weeks ago. I was hooked from episode 1 and couldn’t stop watching, it was so addictive! A Zookeeper would be an interesting job π food is life!

I haven’t allowed myself to get a subscription for netflix! I figure the less opportunities I have to watch, the more time I can spend on reading :p haha, actually the real reason is because I enjoy watching Korean dramas.
I’ve never heard of that one! I’ll have to look into it. I’m really debating if I should start Game of Thrones right now, but all the seasons worry me…
Food is indeed life! I’m so glad we agree on that π Thanks for stopping by!

I love your description of giraffes! It makes them sound like lovely kings and queens.
I’m also the same way about food. I’ll eat basically everything (except nuts, since I’m allergic to them).
Thank you so much for nominating me!! π

In my mind, they should be the Kings and Queens! If I could, I would give up on my career dream of becoming a lawyer, and pet giraffes all day… At this point, I just have to hope to become rich enough to purchase one as a pet!
Haha, of course! Stay away from those nuts.. Wouldn’t want you to have an allergic reaction!
And no problem about your nomination.. I love your blog π

Petting giraffes all day definitely sounds like the ideal job– owning one for a pet would be pretty great, too!! π

I also love watching beauty vloggers haha Kind of like a guilty pleasure. I can’t believe you don’t watch tv shows that aren’t complete :O

It really is! If I only had the skills requiring to do makeup, or pick out amazing outfits, you’d find me vlogging as well! But I can’t edit a video to save my life, so I’ll just have to stick with this book blog as well :p
Right? It often seems silly to me, but what can I say? I’m the most impatient person I know… Thanks for stopping by!

I am terrible at remembering names as well. Everytime a distant relative comes to visit us I always have to try and be subtle and ask one of my parents for their names as a reminder. It’s so hard keeping track of them all haha.
Cliffhangers are horrible. I hate finishing a series with unanswered questions because then I go over every possible scenario that could happen but then knowing I have to wait at least 6 months for the reveal is infuriating.

Oh goodness, imagine the horror of having to memorize Korean names on top of that. Especially when Koreans name their children with similar syllables… And it’s not like I don’t remember them! I can remember what people wore two years ago, but not their names! This problem is certainly the bane of my existence.
I agree.. Cliffhangers really kill me. They’re also the reason why I finish a book so quickly! Because I always have to know how it ends… Do you have this problem too?
LikeLiked by 1 person
You summed it up perfectly. I can remember the tiny, insignificant details but when it comes to names I go blank or they get mixed up.
I have the exact same problem. It’s why I binge read series because I literally have to know what happens next and the thought of waiting to find out is agonizing.

It’s the same with books! The names of characters always slip my mind.. It’s always a struggle to go back and remember them to write review.
So glad I have a fellow binger, and that I’m not alone… β€

YOU REMEMBERED MY NAME!!!! (It still counts even if you checked on the blog, haha!)
Thank you for the nomination and the sweet words! π
I hate cliffhangers but I can’t help watching a show week after week when I’m obsessed with it. At the moment, I’m dying every Wednesday to watch Suits!!
I’m such a by-the-rule kind of girl that I follow recipes and measurements to the gram!

OF COURSE I DID! I’m going to honestly confess that I did not check your blog π
I find that if there’s a TV show I do love, I can sometimes wait it out.. But normally I have to give up and just wait for everything to come out. Cliffhangers leave me thinking about nothing else!
I really wish I could be more meticulous like you.. Maybe more people would try out my cooking π

Although giraffes are pretty amazing, and being a zookeeper would be a dream job, I think I’ll have to pursue my career as a lawyer.. Thanks for stopping by!

You can schedule your lawyer meetings at the zoo!

Perfect! I love the way you think… I’ll just always ask to hold court at the zoo, with the giraffes as my witness :p

Thanks so much for the tag! And I loved reading all your facts as well. I have a friend who really loves giraffes as well. I need to find her a birthday present this weekend so I’m thinking something giraffe related because it’s a safe bet! π
Also I’m the same with names, I keep getting them mixed up in my head. It’s not even if two names are similar but people get mixed up in my head if their roles in my life are similar you know. I make an effort but I’m like you if I get someone’s name right they know they should feel special! π

Anything with a giraffe on it is a safe bet :p I think I’ll have to meet this friend so that we can obsess over this great animal as well!
Right? That’s the same with me, I’m always so hesitant to call people by their names, I’m sure that it is more than obvious…
Thanks for stopping by Beth! Yours is a name I’ll remember for sure π

I’ll be sure to let her know there’s someone else who shares her obsession. I’ll have to see what I can find for her this weekend.
Oh I call people by their names but it’s normally the wrong ones. I just become so convinced in my head they’re right that it doesn’t occur to me until they mention it that I got it wrong!
Ha, same here. Actually weirdly enough people I’ve met on WordPress I’ve never been tempted to call them by different names! π

Please do! You can’t go wrong with a giraffe pillow pet.. Or key chain.. Or notebook… Or anything with a giraffe on it :p Best of luck in finding something π
I’ve done the same thing as well! That awkward moment when they tell you their name, and you have to apologize and assure them it’s not cause you hate them…
I think wordpress you get to read their names, and learn so much about them that it becomes natural. Maybe something different about hearing v. reading names?

Well I’ll be shopping in London on Friday so I’m sure to find something that will fit that, and something she’ll love as well!
Honestly I’ve given up a little, people just have to accept that at times I’m going to get their names wrong and they just laugh it off, but it’s a little embarrassing too!
God knows, either way I’m grateful that I’ve never called anyone the wrong name on their site or in these comments! π

hahah I know right!! And then, even though I always give people an out for forgetting my name, people get really offended when I don’t remember theirs! Whoops!

I love food too but like you, honestly canβt tell the different in quality. Organic stuff and premium quality beef (or something) are wasted on me – they all taste exactly the same, haha.
I love fashion/lifestyle vloggers too! Who do you watch? π
LikeLiked by 2 people
Exactly! I think other than the health benefits they’re supposed to have, I don’t notice any sort of difference.
I love Jen Im at clothes encounters. Her voice and smile get me every time! Zoella is also amazing, I love her accent. I also love Rachel Talbot, and I could just go on and on and on… Who are some of your favorites?
LikeLike
I watch Jenn Im too, but her clothes and looks fill me with this huge temptation to shop A LOT, so I try to do it in doses, haha. I currently really like Tina Yong – she does a lot of makeup videos where she tries random, ridiculous things and it’s really funny. π

People are just great in general :p Voices always stay with me, and I can remember them for years and years. I really should start listening to more audio books. I just find myself getting distracted oftentimes. What do you do while listening?

Thanks π
I don’t usually read audiobooks… Although I probably should. I’d get more reading done if I did. But I’ve always preferred to actually read books myself. I find that I comprehend the story better and get more into the story if I read it myself. π
